La vida viene de la concha

This piece emerged from an artifact found on the coast of Los Molles, Chile during a day by the sea. Drawing the seashell was the starting point of the composition, which transformed until it suggested the shape of a wing, inspiring the emergence of a marine female figure in the process of birth.

I incorporated other elements present in that day's experience, such as the starfish and iridescent patterns observed in the surroundings. Rather than a literal representation, this artwork functions as a visual recollection of a lived experience, where the found object is transformed into a symbol of origin, memory, and creation. The piece, born from a shell, explores a parallel between the female body as the origin of life and the process of artistic creation as a form of symbolic birth.
